Al-Makura attributes success of Ekiti guber primaries to aspirants, delegates

Al-Makura, has attributed the success of last Saturday’s primaries to the maturity exhibited by aspirants,
delegates and party members.
He stated this on Monday in Abuja while presenting the committee’s report on the primaries to Chief
John Odigie-Oyegun, the APC National Chairman.
He added that the exercise was successful because of the cooperation, passion and commitment of
party members, delegates and aspirants.
“More than anything else is the conduct of delegates at the primaries, they were very matured and
orderly,” he said.
He added that in spite of the rain, they carried themselves in a matured way and even embraced
themselves after the results were announced.
He said the party’s leadership should use the platform of solidarity exhibited at the primaries to ensure
coercion among its members in the state.
Al-makura, however, blamed the disrupted May 5 primaries to the activities of hoodlums whom he said
took advantage of security lapses then, to cause crisis.
He commended members of his committee for being up and doing, and also thanked the party’s
leadership for the opportunity to serve.
Odigie-Oyegun while responding, praised the aspirants for their spirit of sportsmanship, adding that the
disrupted primaries gave the party an opportunity to organise a perfect one.
According to him, the committee, aspirants and delegates at the primary deserve a gold medal.
He added that the party’s leadership had started work to consolidate on the victory recorded at the

He added that the APC is taking the forthcoming Ekiti governorship election seriously to redeem the
state from what he called ”a very abusive government”.
According to him, the governor is very abusive and lacks decorum.
