2019: Diaspora Abian drums support for Gov Ikpeazu

An European based Abian, Chief Kingsley Nwobilor has scored Abia state Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu high on infrastructural development and prudent management of the state resources saying that he deserves second tenure to enable him continue with his good works.
Chief Nwobilor stated this in Umuahia while interacting with newsmen.
He disclosed that the Umuobiakwa Obingwa-born Governor has performed despite the daunting challenges affecting his administration and the nation at large.
Chief Nwobilor revealed that his recent visits to the state where he took time to go round the projects executed by Ikpeazu’s government and was marvel at the giant strides made so far not minding the faulty foundation said to have been laid by the former governor, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu.
He said though there are still challenges but no one in good conscience can say Ikpeazu has not performed.
Chief Nwobilor who has been an active participant in the Abia politics since 1999 said it is worthy of commendation that despite the economic challenges that the state and the nation is facing, that Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu is still undertaking the infrastructural revolution being witnessed in Abia state today.
He maintained that any governor who is serious about getting Abia right will first of all get Aba working and that he is impressed at the efforts Governor Ikpeazu is putting in order to get Aba fixed.
He said he took time out to visit faulks road to Ariaria, the Ogbor-hill axis, the Ururuka rd, the Umungasi/aba Owerri Rd, the Enyimba stadium and other parts of the commercial town, and with the level of infrastructural rebirth going on in Aba, Umuahia and other parts of the state is a clear indication that Dr. Ikpeazu is indeed willing and focused to deliver on his promises to Abians.
He enjoined Abians to be patient with Dr. Ikpeazu as he has begun a task that will reposition the Abia economy if given the required support and expressed optimism that under Dr. Ikpeazu, Aba and indeed the whole of Abia will once again regain its pride of place in the comity of states.
Chief Nwobilor said “even those of us in diaspora are aware of the economic challenges of the moment which has affected salary payment, but we are certain that Dr. Ikpeazu having started well will overcome that also.
“It is a national challenge not peculiar to Abia state, and in my own estimation ,Dr. Ikpeazu deserves another term of four years to enable him conclude the good works he is doing at the moment.”
