Fayose bailout his pocket, not Ekiti people – Oshiomhole

National Chairman, All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole said the Ekiti People should have learnt their lessons for voting Ayodele Fayose, the incumbent governor of Ekiti state, owing to the backlog of salary been owed Civil servants in the state.
Oshiomhole stated this during the APC mega rally held in Ado-Ekiti the state capital yesterday and aired on a National Television. He said Fayose’s behaviour at the corridor of power portrayed him as a “typical armed robber”.
He accused Fayose of building a circle of poverty as a result of non-payment of workers’ salaries and gratuities to pensioners. Oshiomhole said, despite the 10 (Ten) billion naira bailout collected by Fayose twice to pay workers salary in the state, “the workers are still been owned several months of salary arrears which the governor find difficult to pay”.
“I came to Ekiti yesterday, and I met with some civil servants, who complained about nonpayment of salaries, they said the governor have not paid them in the last one year.
“It is obvious that the workers of this state have been pauperised, the economy is at its lowest ebb, Fayose has built a circle of poverty; I am not surprised, after all, he came from poverty deepening party.
He said despite the huge potentials of the state, they have nothing to show for it in terms of infrastructural development in the state. “Fayose should be held to account for how he disburse the bailout he collected twice from the federal government. The money was meant to pay the outstanding salaries of the workers, why are they still been owned”?
Oshiomhole accused Fayose of shutting down the economy of the state by closing markets and ordering the National Union of Road transport Workers, NURTW, to park their vehicles at the Government House in the state, so as to paralyze activities ahead of the APC rally in the state. ”Fayose is a learner in the struggle for governance, he should go and learn, as all his antics cannot stop us from getting the Ekiti mandate”, he added.
