Venerer Talent - We pride ourselves as an organization that delivers the best of professionals and industry experts that are not only value add to the organization, but our clients can develop and retain strong leaders that can propel their organizations to the next level.We are recruiting to fill the position below:Job Title: Quantity SuveyorLocation: AbujaJob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled, reliable, efficient Quantity Surveyor to join a fast growing organization.In this position, you will assist QS team to estimate costs of construction projects, working with contractors, builders, and architects to provide the most cost-effective plans that meet high quality standards.He/she will work to minimize the costs of project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.Job ResponsibilitiesReview architectural plans and prepare quantity needsEstimate quantity and costs of materialsAssist in preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the Project managers, design department and/or the clientNegotiate with contractors and subcontractorsAct as a liaison between clients and site managers/engineersKeep track of construction materials and inventoryIdentify potential financial or construction risksAdvise clients on improvements, strategies, and/or estimated costsPrepare payments for contractors and subcontractorsDocument progress, materials, and reports on projectAdvise on property taxes, regulations, and local lawsSource maintenance costs and facilities management for clientsDevelop and maintain working relationships with contractors and subcontractorsUtilize software to calculate, record, and track inventory and estimatesAnalyze completed MMIS projects to determine ROI and compare costsSend regular reports about project cost and progress to the lead quantity surveyor.Value completed work and arrange payments.Track changes in plans or constructions; update budgetsIdentify potential financial or construction risksSet budgets for payments, inventory needs, and materialsAnalyze costs for maintenance and additional building needsTrack changes in plans or constructions; update budgetsAdvise on a procurement strategy.Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks.Undertake cost analysis for all MMIS projectsEngage clients to understand client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies.Perform risk, value management and cost control.Provide advice and forecasts about project costs.  Apply at https://ngcareers.com/job/2019-08/quantity-surveyor-at-venerer-talent-965/
