The terrorist group, Boko Haram has allegedly shared Ramadan foodstuffs to some residents of Borno and Yobe States.

According to the reports, the food items shared includes maize, beans, millet, rice, sugar, spaghetti. It was also reported that cash gifts were given to the residents.

The group  said that they were doing this to help the residents with foodstuffs for Ramadan fasting.

However, an anonymous person has said that this sudden welfarism might just be a plan to lure more people into their terrorist group.

“Imagine, they (insurgents) claimed that the gesture was aimed at assisting villagers to perform Ramadan fast and Sallah with ease and happiness, the same villagers they killed their friends and family members,” the source said.
