Tagwaye, fondly and professionally known by his stage name, has his real name as Obinna Simon. He is a popular Nigerian comedian, businessman and actor known for mimicking President Muhammedu Buhari in mannerism and speech.

Tagwaye was born on April 18, 1986 in Kastina State in northern Nigeria, but hails from Anambra State in south eastern Nigeria. He had his upbringing in the northern part of Nigeria which gave him the advantage to speak Hausa and Igbo languages fluently.
