RCCG members kidnapped in Kaduna

8 members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, have been kidnapped in Kaduna at around 7 o’clock pm on Friday 26th March, 2021.

The kidnapping took place near Doka along Kachia-Kafanchan road while the victims were traveling to Kachina for Lets go a fishing programme.

This alarm was raised by one social media user identified as Eje Kenny Faraday.

Eje Kenny Faraday noted in his post that all the 8 RCCG members in the church bus were kidnapped and the bus left on the spot. He also noted that he almost fall victim of the kidnap.

The senator representing Kaduna of the 8th national Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, lamented that kidnappers and bandits have turned Kaduna to their den.

He added that kidnapping is now an issue that happens on a regular basis. No value for human life.

According to the RCCG Kaduna province PRO, Mr Alao Joseph during his interview with Channels Television, the kidnappers have called the church leadership and make their request know.

He added that the kidnappers are asking for a sum of 50 million naira ransom before they can release the 8 kidnapped RCCG members in their custody. He also noted that he had gone to the scene of the incident to recover the church bus.

The Christian Association of Nigeria in Kaduna has asked the Kaduna state government to go into action with immediate effect in order to recover the victims alive.

While speaking with journalists, the police state command through its PRO mr Muhammed Jalige said that they are working with the leadership of the church to recover the victims alive.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God has however declared prayer for the release of their 8 members.
