Data Science Nigeria has rewarded the winners of its Artificial Intelligence for Energy Hackathon with N3m.
In a statement, the company said the event was sponsored by NNPC/CNL JV (CNL), and was created for participants to develop Artificial Intelligence solutions for carbon reduction in the energy sector.
According to DSN, it received 609 applications from over 100 institutions. It added that a total number of 25 solution documentation was received with different outcomes ranging from hardware, software, academic papers/posters, analytical models, and proof of concept.
The company said that three teams emerged as winners of a total cash prize of N3m, with the winner of the grand prize going home with N1.5m.
